SouthWind Shilohs

We are now taking deposits and prepayments on puppies!                        

SouthWind Shilohs is registered with The International Shiloh Shepherd Registry (ISSR), which upholds the strict breeding standards set forth by the Breed Founder, Tina Barber.  Our goal is to produce Shilohs with good health, strong hips, stable and predictable temperaments, and dogs who make wonderful family companions.

If you would like to be put on the list for a puppy, please email me at:  jackie@southwindshilohs.com   You may  fill out an application and send it in to us at any time; we will keep your application on file, and notify you of upcoming litters.  However, to reserve a space on our puppy list, a $500 deposit is required. As demand is usually greater than supply, and litters tend to sell out, we recommend you reserve or secure a puppy early.  If you are considering a breeding quality puppy, prepayment in full will secure your  'pick' position on the puppy of your choice.

SHIPPING

We can ship your pup to you, if it is impossible due to distance for you to pick your puppy up directly from us.  You, as the buyer, will be responsible for the shipping charges.  Please be aware that airlines have regulations regarding shipping a pup in extreme weather; extreme heat or cold temperatures at either the shipping point or the destination may result in a delay in getting your pup shipped out. 

CO-OWNERSHIP

The puppies will be assessed as to temperament and conformation at the LER, at 8 weeks of age.  Determination will be made at that time which pups are breed quality.  Breed quality pups will only be sold on a co-ownership agreement for females, or a breeding contract for males.  If you are interested in a breed quality pup, we will send you our co-own contracts. 

Lastly, a very special word to our pet quality owners!  Famlies who buy a pet quality pup should never think they are getting 'less'!  In any litter of any breed of dog, there are always only a few who meet the breed standard at a young age, and who would quality as a 'breeding quality' pup.  The majority of puppies worldwide are sold as pets.  If we didn't have people to welcome pet quality pups into their homes, we as breeders would never be able to continue our quest to continually improve the quality of our dogs!
